Amy Winehouse’s music brought a multigenerational lineup to London’s Roundhouse for a celebration of Back to Black’s 20th anniversary. According to NME, Mark Ronson, Salaam Remi, Corinne Bailey Rae and Jessie Reyez were among those taking part alongside Winehouse’s band.
The night also featured performances from FLO and Jorja Smith, adding contemporary R&B voices to a bill that connected different eras of soul. With Winehouse’s musicians involved, the gathering put a direct link to her musical world at the heart of the tribute.
The lineup itself offered a fitting salute: collaborators associated with Winehouse’s recordings sharing the occasion with artists who have helped shape the sound of R&B since. Two decades on, Back to Black remains a powerful point of connection.
