Milwaukee’s World Series triumph got a late-night salute with a familiar comic wildcard. According to Variety, “Saturday Night Live” marked the Brewers’ historic win in a Weekend Update segment featuring Bobby Moynihan’s return as Drunk Uncle.
The recurring commentator pairs an East Coast persona with blunt observations and an Archie Bunker-style sensibility. Bringing him back gave the baseball celebration a dose of “SNL” nostalgia, reconnecting the Update desk with a character from Moynihan’s nine-season run on the show.
