De La Soul’s Posdnuos Recalls Tupac Coming to His Aid in the Bay Area

Posdnuos has shared a striking recollection involving Tupac Shakur: the De La Soul rapper credits him with helping prevent a physical confrontation in the Bay Area. NME highlights the memory in its latest interview with the MC, offering a glimpse of a personal encounter between two major figures in hip-hop.

The conversation is part of NME’s Does Rock ‘N’ Roll Kill Braincells?! series, which tests musicians on how well they remember their own careers. The supplied preview does not explain what prompted the confrontation or how Tupac intervened, so those details remain unconfirmed here. What it does spotlight is a memory of Tupac as someone who stepped in when Posdnuos needed help.
