Hailee Steinfeld Covers The Cars’ “Magic” for Upcoming Film ‘Hexed’

Hailee Steinfeld is bringing both her voice-acting and singing talents to ‘Hexed.’ According to Billboard, the star has recorded a cover of The Cars’ “Magic” for the upcoming film, in which she also voices the lead character.

The song gives Steinfeld another way into the project beyond her character’s dialogue, while putting a familiar pop-rock title in front of a movie audience. Billboard’s report spotlights the cover, though the supplied details don’t establish how the recording will be used within the film.
