The new tracks preview a forthcoming companion album to Middle of Nowhere.
12d ago · The Music Loop Staff
Kacey Musgraves has two new songs out, offering listeners an early look at Tex Mex Tapes. According to Pitchfork, both tracks will appear on the forthcoming album, which serves as a companion to Middle of Nowhere.
That companion-project billing is the key detail: Tex Mex Tapes is being presented in connection with Middle of Nowhere, rather than as an unrelated release. For fans following Musgraves’ next move, the two songs offer a starting point ahead of the full collection.
Why it matters
Tex Mex Tapes will extend the Middle of Nowhere project with a companion album, and these two releases provide its first preview for listeners.
