Macklemore brought more than music to his return to the stage. According to Billboard, the rapper addressed Palestine and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, known as ICE, during his first show since exiting Ed Sheeran’s tour.
The moment came during a 17-song set at Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre, where Macklemore paused the performance to speak to the audience. Alongside the music, that direct address gave the evening a political dimension, putting two charged issues into the spotlight at his first post-exit appearance.
