Noel Gallagher has plenty to discuss beyond guitars. According to Pitchfork, his appearance on Chicken Shop Date ranges from vegans and Paul McCartney to underwear—a decidedly less conventional agenda than the usual rock interview.
There’s also an obvious comic opportunity in putting the musician behind High Flying Birds in a chicken shop. Gallagher takes it, joking about how poorly the bird on the menu fits his band’s lofty name. No album announcement required: this outing puts the banter front and center.
