Tame Impala reached into Kevin Parker’s listening history for a cover of Seal’s “Kiss From a Rose.” According to Rolling Stone, the song appeared on the first CD Parker ever bought, giving the selection a personal connection beyond its familiar melody.
The group also recorded a version of “Dracula” for Australian station Triple J, Rolling Stone reports. Together, the two selections put the spotlight on Tame Impala’s performance work, with the Seal cover offering a glimpse of a song that entered Parker’s life early on.
