The D.O.C., Kurtis Blow and Nile Rodgers Honored at Hip-Hop Grandmasters Awards

The spotlight belonged to The D.O.C., Kurtis Blow and Nile Rodgers as the Paid in Full Foundation held its fourth annual Hip-Hop Grandmasters Awards in Las Vegas. According to Vibe, the gala honored all three, making their recognition the centerpiece of a day of celebration.

Jay Pharoah and Roxanne Shanté hosted the event, bringing together a lineup that stretched across rap and music more broadly. With its Grandmasters Awards, the foundation put the emphasis on honoring artists—a reminder that celebrating music also means recognizing the people behind it.
